About Bike MS: Southern California

Bike MS: Southern California represents Southern California’s counties, from Fresno south to Long Beach, in the National MS Society‘s premier annual cycling event, Bike MS.

This year, the Bike MS: Southern California Ride will be held on Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th in beautiful Ventura County. Six route options are available so cyclists of all experience levels can participate. Participants can choose to ride either one or both days, from 15 to 160 miles. The new route starts and finishes at the beach in Ventura, taking cyclists slightly south before heading north into Santa Barbara, then back down to Ventura on a scenic coastal path.

Established in 1980, Bike MS is the country’s largest organized charity bicycling even series. Between March and November, more than 100 cycling events ranging from one- and two-day events to cross-state rides will be held by various National MS Society chapters around the nation. Nearly 100,000 people from all walks of life participate in a Bike MS ride each year, to raise money for the more than 400,000 Americans living with MS and their families. In 2008, Bike MS participants raised nearly $77 million to support MS research and programs offered by the Society’s nationwide network of chapters.
